It is a medium soft catheter provided with dark green lines for x-ray detection used to remove air or fluid from the pleural space, facilitating better lung function. Its distal end is open with super smooth large eyes to maximise the drainage from the chest.

Chest Drainage Catheter end is fitted with specially designed tapered tongue to provide excellent forceps grip and non-traumatic insertion. It has markings at every 2 cm from the last eye to ascertain the depth of placement with a matching size spare connector which facilitates easy connection to the drainage system.
